Digital Goa, Oct 31 – Heavy rain induced by cyclonic conditions over the past week has made Goa record one of the highest October rainfalls in the 125-year history of rainfall measurement. A whopping 374 mm of rainfall was recorded in October, making it the fifth-highest for the month so far. The highest October rainfall was recorded in 2019 with 546.8 mm, followed by 423.75 mm in 2006, 413.15 mm in 1955, and 394.3 mm in 1985. The unseasonal, record-breaking rain has wreaked havoc on standing crops across the state.
