Goa revises ‘Sheti Samrudhi Yojana’ to support tribal farmer co-operatives

Digital Goa, June 12 – The Goa government has revised the Sheti Samrudhi Yojana to provide financial assistance to tribal farmer co-operatives registered under the Goa Co-operative Societies Act, 2001. The scheme aims to boost agricultural productivity and forest resource management at the community level. Benefits include wages for one agriculture diploma holder and a peon (paid by the Tribal Welfare Department), Rs 25,000 annually for stationery, a one-time Rs 1 lakh grant for office equipment, and rent support of Rs 8,000/month (urban) or Rs 5,000/month (rural), revised every three years.
