Aug 27- Goa sees minimum of one accidental death per day and not less than 365 accidental deaths per year, informed CM Pramod Sawant. “Over 50% of these are self accidents,” he added. Sawant also said that his govt is fast tracking all road engineering proposals to enhance road safety. He urged Goans to refrain from drinking and driving and putting their as well as well others lives in danger. He was speaking at the launch of the Centralised Traffic Response and Congestion Control Center (TRACK). The system is expected to undertake real time tracking of accidents and road congestions. DGP Goa Alok Kumar asserted that the focus of the system is on reducing fatalities and congestion on roads through real time centralised monitoring. CM also said govt will rope in social media influencers to create awareness about road safety.
