Digital Goa, Sept 11 – Goa State Agriculture Policy will be ready by the eve of Republic day of 2024, informed members of the committee constituted to frame the policy. A meeting of the committee was held today. 25 to 30 focus areas will be identified and 5 subcommittees will be formed to work on a set of focus areas. “Inputs will be taken from farmers and all other stakeholders while forming the subcommittees,” said Agriculture Minister Ravi Naik.

He also said that Revenue Department will also be taken on board to ensure speedy implementation of the Agriculture Tenancy Act. Best practices from Agriculture policies from other states will also be incorporated in the Goa State Agriculture Policy, informed members.
