Digital Goa, June 26 – In a move aimed at empowering local taxi drivers and improving service delivery, the Government of Goa has launched the Goa Taxi Driver App through its Department of Transport and Department of Tourism. As an incentive, the first 500 drivers who complete 50 app-based rides will be rewarded with 25 litres of free fuel — petrol, diesel, or CNG. To qualify, drivers must remain active on the app between 8 am and 8 pm for 30 days. The initiative is part of the state’s digital transformation efforts in the transport sector.
