Goa to be developed as conference tourism, logistic and educational hub says PM Modi

    Digital Goa, Feb 6 – Government is committed to developing Goa as a tourist destination for conference tourism, said Prime Minister Narendra Modi during his address at the Viksit Bharat, Viksit Goa 2047 program at Fatorda today. Thousands of people from various walks of life attended the program. “Our government is working towards improving connectivity in Goa and transforming it into a logistics hub,” PM added. Establishment of several institutions in Goa is transforming it into a major educational hub, he added. PM inaugurated and laid the foundation stone for development projects worth over Rs 1330 crores in Goa. “Peaceful co-existence of Christian and other communities is an example of ‘Ek Bharat Shreshtha Bharat’”, he opined. PM inaugurated the permanent campus of the National Institute of Technology,National Institute of Watersports, 100 TPD Integrated Waste Management Facility in South Goa and laid the foundation stone for Passenger Ropeway from Panaji to Reis Magos today. PM also distributed appointment orders to 1930 new Government recruits across various departments under Rozgar Mela and also handed over sanction letters to beneficiaries of various welfare schemes.
