Digital Goa, July 30 – Government will once again begin accepting applications under the Goa Regularisation of Unauthorised Constructions Act (RUCA) to benefit eligible beneficiaries, including those holding Enabling House Numbers (EHNs), CM informed the house. Speaking during a discussion on the difficulties faced by EHN holders in securing electricity and water connections, Minister Mauvin Godinho said around 33,813 houses have been issued EHNs—temporary house numbers given to owners who built homes without proper construction permissions. He noted that over 8,000 to 10,000 houses which fall in this category are yet to apply. Godinho added that a circular will be issued directing panchayats to issue EHNs to eligible households. Houses with EHN will be allowed to receive electricity and water connections, he said. Since the implementation of the EHN system, panchayats have collected approximately ₹3.3 crore in fees, he informed the House.
