Digital Goa, Sep 3 –Goa government will launch the Goa Ujwala Yojana on September 5, providing the equivalent cost of three domestic LPG cylinders annually through Direct Benefit Transfer (DBT) to LPG and PNG consumers in the state. A provision of ₹100 crore has been made under the Directorate of Civil Supplies, informed CM Pramod Sawant. Beneficiaries will receive money directly in their bank accounts. There is no income limit, but the benefit will be restricted to one domestic connection per household. Existing Griha Aadhar and DSSY beneficiaries can apply with the prescribed form and bank passbook, while a separate form will be available for open-category applicants. Forms will be available at panchayats and municipalities. The government expects the first payments to reach accounts by September 9 or 10.
