Digital Goa, Mar 21- Goa University Teachers Association, PG Students Union and other staff members held a silent march to protest against the leasing out of Shyamaprasad Stadium to a private event management company for 10 years. They alleged that the move to allow non sports activities at the stadium through a private party will make the campus open for all. Concerns were also raised about the safety and security of teachers and students. A silent march was held from administrative building to Shyamaprasad Stadium by the protestors. State cabinet had yesterday approved leasing of the stadium to Dome Entertainment Private Pvt Ltd for 10 years for monthly revenue of Rs 25.25 lakh.
