Digital Goa, Jan 10 – Presently the rates of GoaMiles are less as compared to Goa Taxi as they are working on a competitive rate basis, while Goa Taxi uses the rates notified by the Directorate of Transport, informed Tourism Minister Rohan Khaunte. Once the Goa Taxi app is launched, things may change, said Rohan. He further asserted that Goa Taxi is not a competitive business venture, but an effort to give confidence to the taxi drivers that Goa govt is there to support them. The Tourism Minister said that govt will take one monthly review meeting on Mopa Airport functioning till things settle down.

Goa government’s Goa Taxi Cab Aggregator App has not been launched as yet and is not yet made available for download and use by public. The app is presently operating through a queue system on point to point basis to and from Mopa Airport. The app will be launched shortly, said Rohan.
▪️ GMR needs to improvise on its PR
Asserting that for parking etc the rates adopted by GMR at Mopa Airport and the ones used at Dabolim Airport are the same, Rohan advised GMR to improvise on its Public Relations(PR). With Social Media things get viral fast, GMR needs to have a PR system in place to present their side properly, opined Rohan. He alleged that receipt slips are chopped off by netizens from top and bottom to hide important information and circulated on social media. Information such as type of car, type of lane used for parking etc are removed, he claimed.
