Digital Goa, Dec 12 – Goa’s jail are overcrowded and housing 57 more inmates over and above the their carrying capacity according to the ‘Prison statistics India’ report released by National Crime Records Bureau (NCRB) for 2022. With 681 inmates staying in jails built to accommodate 624 inmates, occupancy rate of Goa’s prisons stands at 109.1 %, the statistics point out.
