Goa’s revenue from April to Dec hits Rs 4615 Cr, Up Rs 365.43 Cr from last year: Sawant

Dec 31 – Goa’s total revenue for the 9 month period from April to December 2024 saw an increase of Rs 365.43 crore as compared to the same period in 2023, informed CM Pramod Sawant today. “For the period of April to December 2024, Goa’s total revenue reached Rs. 4614.77 Crores, which is Rs. 365.43 Crores more than the Rs. 4249.34 Crores earned during the same period in 2023. This substantial increase encompasses both GST and VAT revenues, showcasing the state’s improved economic performance, he added.
▪️ Dec revenue up by Rs 75.51 crore
Sawant also stated that Goa has witnessed remarkable growth in its revenue collection for the month of December 2024, with a surge of Rs. 75.51 Crores compared to the same month last year.
▪️ Overall revenue growth for 9 months from April to Dec at 8.60 %
For the period from April to December 2024, states 𝐆𝐒𝐓 𝐑𝐞𝐯𝐞𝐧𝐮𝐞 saw a boost of 9.62% for the nine months, reflecting the effectiveness of tax reforms and economic activities, Sawant added. 𝐕𝐀𝐓 𝐑𝐞𝐯𝐞𝐧𝐮𝐞 also recorded a growth of 6.41%, contributing positively to the overall earnings, he said further. “The overall revenue growth, combining both GST and VAT, stands at an impressive 𝟖.𝟔𝟎%,” he informed.
