Govt approves Rs 10 service charges for Goa Online portal; 13 services now chargeable

Digital Goa, May 23- Goa government has approved the collection of Rs10 convenience fee (excluding taxes) for each online application submitted through the Goa Online portal (www.goaonline.gov.in). M/s Goa Electronics Limited (GEL), the implementing agency, will collect the charges. In addition to the convenience fee, a Rs 20 service fee will be levied on 13 specific services which were earlier available free of cost. This implies that the users will now pay a total of Rs 30 for these services when applying through the portal. Service fee will now be payable on services such as issuance of income certificate, domicile certificate, residence certificate, divergence certificate, caste/community certificate, matriz certificate, and applications for sound permission, Job fair, Mamta scheme, employment exchange registration, Returns filing under Factories Act, Online Return Filing System, Returns filing under Accident and Dangerous incidence occurrence, among others. However, applicants using Citizen Service Centers or Common Service Centers (CSC-SPV) to access these services will be exempt from the charges.
