Govt contemplating special trains from Pernem to Canacona to connect Mopa Airport to South Goa

    Digital Goa, Jan 21- Goa govt has approached the Railways to start additional train route from Pernem to Canacona, for better connectivity between Mopa International Airport and South Goa, informed CM Pramod Sawant today. “A bus can be arranged from Mopa Airport to Pernem,” he said. Then, it will just take tourists as well as locals, 45 minutes to travel from Pernem to Canacona, he added. He was speaking at the function to flag off Shirdi bound train under Mukhamantri Dev Darshan Yatra Scheme. Sawant said that in addition to Tirupati, Velankanni and Shirdi, new locations such as Varanasi, Kashi and Ayodhya will be covered under the scheme. Under the scheme, people are taken to places of pilgrimage free of cost. Sawant said that similar scheme is in pipeline for tour of religious places within the state.

    ▪️   *3 free cylinders to marginalized families soon* Claiming that his govt has fulfilled or is on it’s way to fulfilling all the election promises, CM assured that 3 free cylinders will be given to marginalized families soon. Speaking at the function, Sawant claimed that 95 % of the employees at Manohar International Airport are from Pernem and Goans.
