Digital Goa, Oct 20 – State Tourism Dept has invited applications under Goa State Shack Policy for erection of temporary seasonal structures, beach shacks, deck beds and umbrellas, for tourist seasons 2023-26 i.e. for a period of 3 years. Total of 254 shacks are to be allotted in North Goa and 105 in South Goa. Applications are to be submitted at Paryatan Bhavan, Patto, Panaji for North Goa shacks and Mathany Saldhana Complex, Margao for South Goa shacks by Oct 27. The draw of lots for selection of shack applicants and for selection of location will be held on Nov 3, 2023. Of the 359 shacks, 34 (approx. 10%) are to be allocated to applicants with experience of one to four years and another 34 are to be allocated to applicants without experience. Remaining 291 shacks will be allotted to experienced shack operators with experience of 5 years and above.
