Digital Goa, July 30 – Chief Minister Pramod Sawant on Wednesday informed that the State Government is considering extending the “Anywhere Registration” model, introduced for property registration, to the Transport Department, Deputy Collector and other govt offices to improve the delivery of citizen services. Speaking after inaugurating the Anywhere Registration System under the National Generic Document Registration System (NGDRS) in Panaji, Sawant said the initiative is aimed at bringing technology-driven reforms, ensuring better utilisation of staff, reducing pendency, speeding up document disposal and increasing overall productivity. Under the newly launched system, citizens can register sale deeds at any Sub-Registrar office within their respective district—North Goa, South Goa or Kushavati—without being restricted to the office having jurisdiction over the property’s location. The NGDRS is a cloud-based, centralized software platform developed by the Government of India to standardize, digitize, and simplify the property and deed registration process across various states under the “One Nation, One Software” initiative.
