Govt notifies regularisation rules for contractual staff with 10 years’ service

Digital Goa, Sep 4 – The Goa government has notified rules allowing the regularisation of contractual employees who have completed at least 10 years of continuous service in government departments, corporations, autonomous bodies, PSUs and local bodies.The one-time measure covers Group A, B and C posts, as well as erstwhile Group D posts. Eligible employees must have possessed the prescribed qualifications and age eligibility at the time of appointment, undergone a proper selection process and have satisfactory character and antecedents. They must also not be facing any criminal or departmental proceedings. Every regularisation order will require the Chief Minister’s approval. Departments and government bodies have been asked to submit lists of eligible employees to the Personnel Department within 15 days. If sanctioned vacancies are insufficient, personal posts will be created and abolished once vacated. The rules also prohibit future contractual recruitment except for consultants, experts, specialised personnel and staff required for specific government schemes or assignments.
