🔸 Govt notifies tweaked Goa Housing Board Rules
Dec 10 – Goa government has notified the amended Goa Housing Board (Registration, Allotment, and Sale of Plots) (Second Amendment) Rules, 2024, incorporating key changes to pricing and allotment processes. The draft rules were notified and kept open for objections and suggestions in the first week of November. Under the new rules, the board must set minimum plot prices based on revenue department rates which have been changed for several Talukas recently. An allotment committee has been replaced by a scrutiny committee, which must review applications within 30 days. Successful allottees now have 90 days to pay the full amount, an increase from the previous 20 days, with a reduced forfeiture of 5% (down from 15%) for non-payment.
