Digital Goa, Jan 4- Registration of taxis for Mopa taxi stand meant for taxi operators from Pernem will start from tomorrow, said Transport Minister Mauvin Godinho. Taxis will have blue colour keeping in view Goa’s tourism image and not yellow & black, he said. No upper limit for number of taxis at the stand in fixed as yet. We will see the response to this scheme, he said. Already Goa Miles has arranged over 400 taxis at Mopa Airport besides Goa Taxi App has so far registered over 50 taxis, he said. KTC has also announced that they will operate several buses from Mopa to take care of passenger’s requirements.
▪️ *Pernem Taxi Operators to continue with their agitation*
Meanwhile, taxi operators from Pernem today announced that they will continue with their agitation in support of their demand to get Yellow and Black taxi stand allotted at Mopa. They also decided to shift the venue of the protest from Nagzar, Pernem to a place near the Mopa Airport to National Highway road.
