Digital Goa, Dec 18 – The Government of Goa has notified the “Mukhyamantri Dnyanparva Yojana”, approving a total of 1,385 posts on contract basis to reinforce the implementation of the National Education Policy (NEP) 2020 across various stages and interdisciplinary sectors in the state. The scheme aims to facilitate NEP 2020 implementation by providing well-trained and motivated teachers and instructors for government and government-aided schools, ensuring quality education from pre-primary to higher secondary levels in Goa. The sanctioned strength includes 1,008 teachers across the foundational, preparatory, middle and secondary stages, and 377 instructors for art education and NSQF-related subjects. The scheme will be applicable to all government and government-aided schools under the Directorate of Education. It will remain in operation till the academic year 2035–36, after which it will be reviewed. Under the scheme, the government seeks to address the shortage of teaching faculty and instructors required for effective implementation of NEP 2020, including at the pre-primary level, which now falls under the Directorate of Education. Appointments under the Mukhyamantri Dnyanparva Yojana will be made purely on a contractual basis for 12 months, including training, with no provision for regularisation.
