Digital Goa, July 15 – CM Dr Pramod Sawant informed that the Goa government will invest ₹180 crore to modernise ITIs across the state and give priority to regularising employees who have been serving on contract for more than 10 years. Addressing the World Youth Skills Day 2026 programme in Panaji, CM stressed the need to promote exports of products manufactured in Goa. CM informed that Goa is the only state with 100% ISO-certified government ITIs and highlighted initiatives such as zero tuition fees for girls, modern training facilities and stronger industry partnerships. Five MoUs including were also signed to strengthen skill development, industry exposure, on-the-job training, research and institutional collaboration.
