🔸 Govt to set up new teachers training institutes to train teachers for NEP
Digital Goa, Dec 19 – Goa govt is mulling to set up new Teachers Training Institutes to equip teachers to teach curriculum under the National Education Policy, informed CM Pramod Sawant. He was speaking at the State level function of Goa Liberation Day in Panaji.
▪️ Foundation stones for Porvorim Elevated bridge & revolving restaurant on Zuari bridge on Dec 22
Foundation stones will be laid on Dec 22 for Rs 641 crore elevated road at Porvorim and Rs 270 crore revolving restaurant atop New Zuari Bridge, said Sawant. He said LHS leg of New Zuari Bridge will also be opened for public on the same day.
▪️ Goa managed to attract investment to the tune of Rs 15,464 crore claims CM
Sawant claimed that the state has managed to attract new investments to the tune of Rs 15,646 crore with capacity to create 40,000 jobs. He added that 20,000 apprenticeship opportunities were created in the state for youth.
Listing the various achievements of the state, CM said that Projects worth Rs 700 crore have been sent to the Center for approval and 60 % have been approved. GSDP of the state increased by 33 % in 2023 as compared to 2019-2020 and per capita income increased by 30% during the period,he said. Kul Mundkar cases will be fast tracked, he added.
