Digital Goa, Feb 8- Goa govt will stop the practice of allotment of temporary house numbers i.e. Enable House Numbers (EHN) to illegal houses through panchayats as it has been observed that the provision is being misused, announced Panchayat Minister Mauvin Godinho. In 2021 the state government had directed village panachayats to issue temporary house numbers to illegal houses for the purpose of collecting various taxes for revenue generation. Kumbharjua MLA Rajesh Phaldesai told the house that more than 50 illegal houses at Khorlim, Old Goa were given EHN numbers recently by the Panchayat Secretary.
