Digital Goa, Dec 20 – Goa Public Service Commission (GPSC) told the High Court today that it will cancel the process of direct recruitment of 28 Dy SPs in Goa Police as per the recommendations of the State govt. In view of this the High Court disposed off a petition by 9 Police Inspectors in this regards. The state government had earlier directed the commission to cancel the recruitment process mid- way, but the commission had then refused to do so. The government had told the Commission that it is thinking of enhancing the upper age limit for the posts- and therefore wants to cancel the process. The GPSC had earlier set a deadline of mid-January 2024 to complete the process of selecting the new DySPs.
