Feb 20 – With the academic session nearing an end, children enrolled in govt primary schools across the state in Grade 1 and 2 will undergo the NIPUN (National Initiative for Proficiency in Reading with Understanding and Numeracy) test from Feb 17 to assess their learning outcomes. The NIPUN assessment will be live from February 17 to March 1, and aims at comprehensive evaluation of student learning and guiding future educational strategies. Samagra Shiksha Goa, through its initiatives under VidyaSamiksha Kendra (VSK) and the NIPUN Cell, in collaboration with SCERT and ConveGenius, has launched the NIPUN assessment usingAI technology to evaluate Grade 1 and 2 students based on NIPUN Goals. The NIPUNGoa chatbot, powered by SwiftChat, comprises 20 AI-driven questions each for Mathematics and English for Grades 1 and 2, mapped directly to FLN competencies. The NIPUN survey questions have been made available in English, Marathi and Konkani to ensure wider coverage.
