Mulgao, a sleepy village in Bicholim taluka, is on a boil for last one year. The entire village is united against the newly auctioned mining block which covers their whole village. With the resumption of mine threatening their very existence, hundreds of villagers forcefully shut down the mine on the Republic Day. They have posed a significant challenge to the mining operations which are just beginning to resume in the state after a gap of 13 years.
