Digital Goa, May 25 – Goa govt has reconstituted the 31 member Goa State Board for Wildlife. The board members include representatives of state and central governments departments and also representatives of various environment related NGOs and is chaired by the Chief Minister. The board is expected to assist the govt in matters such selection and management of areas to be declared as protected areas; formulation of the policy of protection and conservation of Wild Life and specified plants; measures to be taken for harmonizing the needs of the tribals and other dwellers of the forest with protection and conservation of wild life etc.
