Digital Goa, Jan 22 – Chandel Hasapur gramsabha today resolved that all four panchayats covering Mopa Airport should be paid tax towards lakhs of sq mts construction which has come up within these panchayats. It was argued in the gramsabha that every construction within panchayat area has to pay tax to panchayat. Therefore even airport should pay the tax to panchayat. It is the responsibility of Mopa Development Authority to ensure that Mopa Airport pays tax to all four panchayats, stated the resolution. The gramsabha also discussed the issue of taxi and jobs for locals at Mopa Airport.
