Digital Goa, August 5 – We have urged the Central leadership to pass the ST reservation in Goa Assembly seats bill in Parliament at the earliest, CM Pramod Sawant informed the House today. “It is a Central subject,” he said adding that the State also wants it passed before 2027 state assembly elections.The bill needs to be cleared in both Rajya Sabha and Lok Sabha, and can be passed only with opposition support, he said. He blamed the disruption in Parliament by the opposition over Bihar SIR for delay in the bill’s passage.
