Digital Goa, Mar 19 – High Court has deferred the hearing on a plea challenging the commencement of the new academic year in April instead of June to Monday, March 24. During the hearing, the government informed the court that as per the draft rules under the Goa Education Act, the academic session for classes 1-5 will begin in June, while classes 6-10 and 12 will start from April 7, with classes ending at 11:30 am during the month of April.
