Digital Goa, July 28 – High Court has stayed the demolition of a house in Reis Magos after observing that the Village Panchayat had arbitrarily refused permission for repairs solely because of objections raised by the petitioner’s sister. The court directed the Deputy Collector to decide the pending regularisation application within six months. The Court also observed that the dispute was essentially a family property matter and encouraged the parties to resolve it amicably. The implementation of the demolition order will now depend on the Deputy Collector’s decision on the regularisation application.
