Digital Goa, Jan 2 – Ponda Police have arrested one govt employee and his wife for cheating dozens of persons to the tune of crores of rupees on the pretext of selling apartments. Those detained are Vijaynath Gaude who works as MTS in Health dept in Ponda and his wife Vidisha. Earlier in the day, several people from Surla, met CM Pramod Sawant and informed him that they were made to pay lakhs of rupees to this couple, who promised them apartments in a buildings at Dodamarg. Instead of giving them flats, the accused have been avoiding them for past several years. CM has directed the police to act against the accused and recover the amount.
