Digital Goa, Nov 17- The High Court of Bombay at Goa has adjourned to January 4, 2026 the hearing of a PIL seeking a scientific, socio-economic, and health-based survey of senior citizens in Goa, while also formulating evidence-based welfare policies. The Court has issued notices to the Goa government and other respondent authorities in this regards. Petition filed by Adv Moses Pinto argues that despite provisions in the Maintenance and Welfare of Parents and Senior Citizens Act, 2007, Goa has never conducted such a survey, resulting in policy gaps and poor implementation of welfare measures.
