Digital Goa, July 3 – The six days of continues heavy rain in the state has almost bridged the huge rainfall deficit which stands at just 12.3 percent till this morning. Goa received record 535 mm rainfall in just last six days while total rainfall from June 1 received in Goa is 901.8 mm. Goa was staring at a whopping deficit of over 50 percent a week back. However, continuous high rainfall days starting from June 28 which received the highest daily rainfall of 142.5 mm of the season and yesterday’s second highest rainfall of the season i.e. 107.2 mm reduced the deficit gap substantially. Even the days between June 28 and July 3 received substantial rainfall e.g. June 29 – 54.6 mm, June 30 – 86.2, July 1 – 84.5 and July 2 – 59.5.
