Digital Goa, Jan 5 – Heavy vehicles will be diverted from Banda, Maharashtra itself via the Banda-Dodamarg-Assnora route during the period that the Porvorim elevated corridor is being constructed, informed CM Pramod Sawant today. Govt has prepared detailed traffic plan for alternate roads during the construction of the flyover and started the work of expansion of Porvorim and Saligao roads, he said. He also advised the use of Betim-Panaji ferry. People will be inconvenienced, but for two years period people will have to bear with us, he said.
Chorao bridge foundation stone will be laid once the land acquisition process is completed. Absence of owners in many cases is posing hurdles in land acquisition, he added.
