Dec 31- Goa Police reported detection rate of 96.67% with regards to heinous crimes and serious offences which took place in 2024. Out of 180 heinous cases reported, 174 were successfully detected, informed police. For total IPC cases reported until December 29, 2024, a detection rate of 87.98% was recorded, with 1,844 cases detected out of 2,096 reported. However, only 250 cases led to convictions as of October 2024.
