Digital Goa, Nov 14 – The High Court today dismissed two Public Interest Litigations (PILs) filed against the mega project at Sancoale, promoted by Parmesh Constructions Company Limited (Bhutani Infra). The petitions were filed by Goa Bachao Abhiyan and Peter D’Souza and others. The judgment was delivered virtually this afternoon by Justice Bharati Dangre. Alleging serious illegalities, including construction on steep slopes, lack of environmental clearance, and multiple regulatory violations, the petitioners had prayed to halt what they described as a large-scale, high-density development posing risks to the environment and public safety in Sancoale village. The court, however, dismissed both PILs.
