Digital Goa, Mar 24- High Court today disposed off a petition filed by parents regarding date of commencement of the academic year after Govt informed the court that final notification about the date of commencement of the academic year will be issued after March 27, based on feedback of stakeholders on the draft notification. Public can give feedback on the draft notification till March 27. Anytime after that the final notification will be issued by the govt regarding the date of commencement of the academic year for schools, informed AG Devidas Pangam. On March 12, govt had issued a draft notification seeking feedback from stakeholders within 5 days. The time period for receiving the feedback was extended to 15 days through amendment to the draft. Feedback can be submitted to the Director, Dept of Education, states the notification.As per the notification, Classes for Std I to V and Std XI will start in June while classes for Std VI to X and Std XII will commence in April. There will a gap of one week from the last working day of the previous academic year. All classes will have one month summer break in May.
