Dec 20 – High Court has cleared the decks for organising Sunburn EDM Festival at Dhargalim from Dec 28 to Dec 30. HC has refrained from staying the festival as prayed by the petitioner. Interim order in this regards is expected to be passed by Saturday. The Court has however asked the govt and the organisers to ensure that related rules are not violated during the 3 day event, informed AG Devidas Pangam. When queried about the resolution taken by the Gram Sabha opposing the organising of the festival, he said that powers given to the Gram Sabha are limited and such decisions need to be taken by the elected Panchayat body and not the Gram Sabha.
