Digital Goa, Sept 11 – High Court today granted ad-interim protection from arrest to Malcolm Pereira, accused in the alleged assault on Chinchinim-Deussua Sarpanch and AAP leader Gerson Gomes, until the next hearing on September 22.The court directed Pereira not to enter the jurisdiction of the Chinchinim Village Panchayat and not to leave Goa. If arrested by Cuncolim Police, he will have to be released on a bond of ₹50,000.
Margao Sessions Court had rejected Pereira’s anticipatory bail application this morning.
