Digital Goa, Sept 11- High Court today ordered that notices be served to Member Secretary SGPDA and Margao Wholesale Fish market Association regarding unauthorized littering and discharge of waste water in drains and fields at the SGPDA market. Pointing out that the Goa State Pollution Control Board(GSPCB) report presented before it was ‘quite disturbing’, the HC added that neither the SGPDA nor the MMC appear to be taking any concrete steps in this regards.
▪️ ETP consent to operate has expired
The Court also expressed displeasure over non operation of ETP (Effluent treatment plant) and the fact that its consent to operate has expired. “Still SGPDA which is a public authority continues with its operation,” Court said in its order. Member Secretary SGPDA and Margao Wholesale Fish market Association have been asked to appear before the Court on Sept 13. Serve notice to MS SGPDA today itself, Court asserted in its order.
