Digital Goa, July 10 – High Court has pulled up Assistant Engineer of PWD at Fatorda for ‘obstructing’ implementation of court’s demolition orders around Dabolim airport. Court has also directed Director Panchayat to inquire if the Sarpanch of Chicalim panchayat has some illegal constructions in the area. A detailed report has to be submitted before the court in this regards before July 24. The court pointed out that the Demolition Squad which was to be provided by Asst. Engineer, Subdivision IV, Work Division VI (Roads),PWD at Fatorda, reached the site on one occasion without requisite tools and equipment, and that he remained absent on the second occasion when MPDA and the Indian Navy personnel had come to demolish the structures. In view of this, the court has issued a show cause notice to him as to why proceedings for contempt of Court should not be initiated against him.
