Digital Goa, Aug 11 – High Court today reprimanded Mapusa Municipal Council Chief Officer(CO) for filing incorrect affidavit regarding illegal hoarding within Mapusa Municipality Jurisdiction. The Court refused to accept that there were only 2 illegal hoardings as specified in the affidavit. The Court has asked the CO to study, inspect, file a report and then file a proper affidavit, informed AG Devidas Pangam. One casino hoarding in Panaji has been removed while court has asked the authorities concerned not to remove 6 other casino hoardings till its final decision is announced in the matter. However, the Casino operators have been refrained from using led lights on these hoardings to avoid distraction to vehicle drivers. Corporation of City of Panaji(CCP) also submitted a report regarding the status of illegal hoarding to the Court.
