High Court seeks action plan from DGP for night raids on sand mining

Digital Goa, July 15 – High Court has directed the Director General of Police (DGP), Goa, to devise a mechanism to respond to requests for late-night raids on illegal sand mining. The court issued these directions after an incident in Terekhol was brought to its notice, where the police allegedly refused to provide protection to a raiding party during the night. The High Court has asked the DGP to ensure that such incidents are not repeated in the future.
