Digital Goa, Feb 6- High Court has suspended sentence of a one year imprisonment and Rs 15 lakh compensation of a person found guilty for offence under Section 138 of Negotiable Instruments Act (punishment of cheque bounce) , subject to conditions. The accused Prakash Deikar was found guilty for the offence punishable under Section 138 of the Negotiable Instruments Act and was sentenced to suffer imprisonment for one year and to pay a compensation of Rs.15 lakhs. Deikar has now been asked to furnish a personal bond of Rs.25,000 with one solvent surety in the like amount and deposit Rs 1.5 lakh in the Court within a period of one week from today.
