Digital Goa, Jan 4- A High Level Inquiry Committee has been constituted by the Goa govt to ensure that the provisions of the Protection of Children from Sexual Offences (POCSO) Act are not violated and to safeguard the school going children. The committee chaired by Shailesh R. S. Zingde, Director of Education has Sylvia Fernandes, Dy. Director of Education, South Educational Zone, Margao-, Dr. Uday Gaonkar, Deputy Director of Education, Central Educational Zone, Panaji, Melvin D’ Costa, Ast Director of Education holding additional charge of Dy. Director of Education, North Educational Zone, Mapusa, Manoj B Sawaikar, Deputy Director of Education (Planning) , Sindhu R. Prabhu Dessai, Asstt. Director of Education (Academics) , Braz T. De Menezes, Dy. Superintendent of Police (North Goa) , Rajendra S. Prabhudesai, Dy. Superintendent of Police (South Goa) , Dr. Nandita D’Souza, Setu Foundation (Representative of NGO) , Prachi Khandeparkar, Sangath Foundation (Representative of NGO) as members and Varsha Naik, Director (Administration) as Member Secretary.
