Digital Goa, Aug 1 – Grant-in-aid Higher Secondary Schools have to mandatorily allot at least 20 % of the seats to students staying within 3 kilometer radius as department rules. Student can complain to the Education Dept if admission is denied by any HSS in the vicinity provided they meet the admission criteria, informed CM Pramod Sawant. He further informed that 1.2 lakh sq mtr land at Davorlim has been earmarked for Cujira like Educational complex to relocate city based schools from Margao. Expressing concern that encroachers have started encroaching into the land, he said he has ordered that a land be fenced from all sides.
