Jan 22- A 26-year-old person from Bhatwadi, Korgao, Pernem with criminal antecedent has been arrested by Pernem police for allegedly cutting 30 Areca palm trees and 2 Coconut trees belonging to Savitri Gawade from Gawdewada. The accused is identified as Snehal Narse. The incident had occurred on Jan 12. Incidentally, Snehal who Savitri’s neighbour was earlier arrested in 2020 in the murder case of a 24-year-old youth from Korgao. He was later released on bail. Incidentally, Narse was again arrested couple of days back for allegedly stalking and harassing a 17-year-old girl and is presently in jail.
