Digital Goa, Nov 3 – DGP Alok Kumar said the hospitality industry must not take the law into its own hands while dealing with unruly customers, and should call the police when needed. His remarks follow brutal assault and murder of a UP teen who was allegedly trying to flee with a rented SUV by the vehicle owner and the assault on tourists by bouncers of Anjuna based club Romeo Lane.
Errant cops will have to face action asserts DGP
DGP Alok Kumar confirmed that two IRBn officers linked to the Pernem firing case will face action after the probe. On the alleged assault of a Margao resident by a police officer at the police station, he said a departmental inquiry is underway and punishment will match the offence. Several police personnel have been terminated for involvement in criminal activity so far, he added.
