Digital Goa, August 16 – A house belonging to the Shetye family at Vazari in Pernem taluka was badly damaged after a huge banyan tree came crashing down on it during the night. The massive tree suddenly uprooted and fell directly on the house. Large branches and a portion of the trunk landed on the structure, causing extensive damage, particularly to the roof. No injuries have been reported in the incident.
